Losing with grace
October 20, 2008Last night my boys lost. They put up a good fight. They were down 3-1 in the ALCS and forced a game 7. We can hold our heads high. We live in a post 2004 world. There was no Aaron F-ing Boone moment, none of that. We lost to the Cinderella team. But we gave them a run for their money. We played like defending champs. I’m proud of my boys. I will miss them.
Now what do I do until April?
The Broncos put on an equally sad performance last night. There was no grace involved WHATSOEVER!
I believed your Sox deserved it more than the “Cinderella Team.” I have Phillies shirts older than the Rays. When Boston rallied back and forced game 7, I was in awe……
Do you know what’s going happen to the Cinderella team, their carriage to the Series is going to turn into a pumpkin and the Phillies are gonna crush them.
